Every company uses different IT applications. The resulting IT landscape is often characterised by isolated solutions. Data is recorded multiple times, is defined differently in different IT systems and is therefore difficult to compare. Interfaces do not exist to the required extent or do not automatically deliver the data in the desired structures. Data is merged using complex manual processes, which in turn are time-consuming and error-prone.
The introduction of new applications leads to even greater complexity or even becomes impossible as there is no common database. Especially with regard to AI applications, integrated IT systems are a prerequisite for providing the database for AI technology.
